Die ‚AG historische Ball- und Kugelspiele‘ vom Forum Rethem e. V. führte am Sonntag bei sommerlichen Temperaturen ihr 3. Bouleturnier durch. Für dieses Turnier verwandelte sich der Burghofvorplatz in ein wahres ‚Boul-o-drom‘. Mit Elan und Einsatz war dieses Turnier von allen Mitgliedern der AG Ball- und Kugelspiele vorbereitet und durchgeführt worden.

An diesem Event nahmen in diesem Jahr 16 Mitglieder teil, die eine ‚Super-Melee‘ über vier Runden spielten, um dabei dem ‚Schweinchen‘ möglichst nahe zu kommen. Die Spielpaarungen der ersten Runde wurden frei ausgelost. Ab der zweiten Runde wurde dann jedem Sieger ein Verlierer zugelost. So entstand Spannung bis zum letzten Wurf.
Die teilnehmenden Frauen behaupteten sich exzellent, was auch im Endergebnis zu erkennen ist.
Ab der dritten Runde gab es noch vier Spieler, die bis dahin keine Runde verloren hatten. Jetzt traten die gegeneinander an. Wie in einem Fussball-Krimi wurden die Weichen fürs Siegertreppchen gestellt. Auch eine ‚Funny‘ – 13:0 verloren – soll hier Erwähnung finden. Das Team Manfred König/Ernesto Veber brachte dieses Kunststück fertig.
Nach gut vier Stunden Spielzeit ging die letzte und entscheidende Partie der vierten Runde zwischen Christa Schnabel/Reiner Dittmers gegen Dieter Moll/Uwe Reichelt knapp mit 13:9 an das Team Schnabel/Dittmers. Die Sieger des Turniers standen damit fest.

Zum Abschluss saßen alle Teilnehmer bei Steak, Bratwurst und gekühlten Getränken in gemütlicher Runde beisammen. Ein gelungener Tag ging zu Ende.
